  Gaylord Herald Times (MI) December 13, 2011 Violet V. Haskill, 93, of Gaylord died Friday Dec. 9, at AuSable Valley Nursing Home. Violet was born on June 12, 1918, in South Dakota to Henry and Magdaline (Geigley) Klein and was raised on the family farm. She graduated from Herried High School in South Dakota and came to Michigan after she married Clayton Haskill. Violet enjoyed gardening, was a beekeeper for a period of time and also enjoyed to hunt. She is survived by three children, Orlan (Billie) of Hadley, Wanda Elden (Roger Luptak) of South Branch and Norman (Shirley) Haskill of Lewiston; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton, in 1964, and was the last of 10 children in her family.
