Born in Chester, Mr. Staus was a resident of Chester Heights for 40 years. Previously, she was a resident of Chester and Aston. She was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1934, and attended Taylor Business School in Philadelphia. She was a member of the Jr. Women's Auxiliary of Crozer Hospital for 28 years. Also, she was a member of the Aston Township Lioness Club for 25 years, and a member of the Del-Valley Square Dance Association for 20 years. Her husband of 64 years, Frank A. Staus, died in 2001.
