  Watertown Daily Times (NY) March 22, 1994 Deceased Name: FUNERAL WEDNESDAY FOR LEONA ELLIS KENNEDY Surviving are a son, Weston Ellis, Syracuse; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jeanette) Clarke, Tomball, Texas, and Mrs. Donald (Noreen) Johnson and Mrs. Earl (Carla) Strader, both of Potsdam; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Eleanor Bradley, Potsdam, Eileen Jandrew, Mrs. Wayne (Carol) Young and Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Conklin, all of Parishville, and Mrs. Walter (Theresa) Lerchenfeld, Fla. Two brothers, Floyd and Richard Bovay, died before her. Born in Potsdam on May 30, 1915, a daughter of Floyd and Ruth Parody Bovay, she married Harold B. Ellis on June 24, 1933. The marriage ended in divorce. Mr. Ellis died Nov. 8, 1969. She married Lloyd Kennedy on Nov. 27, 1956, in Reno, Nev. He died Dec. 22, 1989. Mrs. Kennedy was employed with Potsdam State University College as a pastry chef and was a foster parent for more than 30 years, caring for more than 200 children. She was a member of St. Mary's parish in Potsdam and Parishville and a member of Hilltoppers Senior Citizen Group.
