  Newsletter of the Haskell Family Society Volume 9, No. 1, March 2000 Charles B. Haskell, 68, retired educator, died 3 December 1959 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, after an illness of six months. Born in Pittsfield, Maine, he was a retired teacher of laboratory physics at the University of Connecticut, a subject he taught earlier at the University of New Hampshire. He attended Maine Central Institute, where he later serving as sub master. In 1913 he graduated from Bowdoin College, and in the same year captained its track team. He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. Haskell had also been principal of Abbott School, Leavitt Institute, South Portland (Maine) High School and Milton High School. Surviving were two daughters; Priscilla Libby of Los Angeles, and Martha Pushard of Wiscasset, Maine; a son, David Haskell; a sister, Miss Ethel Haskell of Boston; and brother, Orin S. Haskell of Schenectady, NY. Another sister, Mrs. Elise Atherton of Boston, died a week earlier.
