  Bangor Daily News September 18, 1962 Bridgeport, Conn. -- Arthur C. Haskell, 56. a former resident of Rockland, died at a Bridgeport hospital Saturday following a brief illness. Haskell was born at Rockland, May 15, 1906, son of Alfred A. and Elizabeth (Daggett) Haskell, and graduated from Rockland High School in 1924. He was employed as an upholsterer at Fuller-Cobb-Davis until the firm went out of business, and then he was with Columbia Record Co. in Connecticut for 10 years before accepting a position as superintendent of the Washington Avenue apartments in Bridgeport, a position he he held until the last three weeks of his life. He was a life member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Olive (Carnes) Haskell; two sons, Alfred, at home; and Robert, in the service; three brothers, Dr. Donald E. Haskell of Rockland, Merton and Malcolm, both of Palm Springs, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. James Caven of Clark Island; several niewces and nephews.
