  The Ord Quiz November 17, 1921 Many friends were shocked some time ago when the Quiz announced the serious illness of Zerna Haskell and many inquired regarding her condition and expressed the hope that she might soon recover. Then last Friday came the word that she had passed out, blasting at once the oft expressed hope she would improve in health. The remains were brought to Ors Saturday evening and the funeral was held at 10 o'clock Sunday from the Methodist church, Pastor Bothwell being in charge of thre services. Internment was in the Haskell family lot, one of the most beautiful in the local cemetery. Awealth of flowers expressed the admiration of loving friends for the bereaved parents and family. Only Mr. and Mrs. Haskell and Dr. Coza accompanied the body from Lincoln and they had to hasten to return. Zerna Mae Haskell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Haskell was born in Ord August 18, 1898. She died at the Bailey sanitirium in Lincoln, November 11, 1921, being 23 years, 2 months and 23 days old at the time of her death. She graduated from Ord high school in 1916 and from the Wesleyan University in 1920. She taught school at Hordville the following year and was chosen as principal of the Reynolds hugh scholl this year and taught for a month when illness forced her to give up the work and go home and for six weeks made a brave fight but was unable to overcome her malady.
