Joan L. Haskell, 74, St. Joseph, Mo., was called home with the Lord Jan. 17, 2004. Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and good friend. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Born Nov. 30, 1929, in St. Joseph, she lived most of her life in California, moving back to St. Joseph three years ago.
Joan remained a full-time licensed beautician her entire life and was the owner-operator of Haskell's Prospector in California, where she leaves behind many loving friends. Her greatest accomplishment was her family, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Malotte and Velma Shields; her husband, Robert; and her sister, Betty Evans.
Joan is survived by two daughters, Judy Jones of the home and Cecelia Zarate, Indiana; one son, Robert Butner, California; two grandsons, Jeremy Moore, and wife, Catherine, Bradford, England; and Robert Joseph Butner, Arizona; one granddaughter, Robyn Lynn Butner, Pennsylvania; four great-granddaughters, Bethany, Sophia, Rebecca and Olivia Moore, all of Bradford, England; one sister, Barbara Peasley, Kansas City, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
