  Record-Journal (Meriden, CT) March 12, 1999 MERIDEN -- Dorothy Frances MacNeil, loving wife, mother and friend, died Wednesday, March 10, 1999, at MidState Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of John F. MacNeil Sr., of Meriden. She was born in Boston, April 11, 1928. The daughter of the late William and Mattie Hemingway Wyman. She had resided in Meriden since 1957, having worked at the Tuxis Coal and Oil Co., and later at the First Congregational Church. Active in church, Mrs. MacNeil served on numerous committees, taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Marcia Nielsen of Woodbridge, Va; a son, John F. MacNeil Jr. of New York; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jeffrey Nielson, also of Virginia.
