  The Oregonian (Portland, OR) September 4, 2008 A service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, in Willamette National Cemetery for Gilbert "Gib" Nonne of Portland, who died Sept. 2 at age 83. Gilbert Nonne was born June 16, 1925, in Culbertson, Mont. During World War II, he served in the Navy in the Pacific. He moved from Hermiston to Portland in the early 1960s and was chief dispatcher for Union Pacific Railroad for more than 35 years. He married Doralee Paul; she died in 2006. In 2007, he married Norma Johnson. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Nannette Mauck and Suzette Palanuk; sons, Steve and Paul; sister, Deloris C. Lacotti; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
