  Houston Chronicle (TX) December 22, 2007 PETER ROBINSON McSTRAVICK SR. - April 10th, 1929 -December 21st, 2007. On this day the Lord has called his son, Peter, home to eternal life. The Light which has guided his earthly family has left us, yet his influence, love, and care has enriched us all and well lights the path we must take to join him in God's eternal embrace. Peter was a selfless family man, who cared and loved deeply his wife, Ann Glazier McStravick, of fifty-one years. Her tender care in his later years is a testament to her own cherished love of him. His children: Mary Ann McStravick Cowan and husband, David Cowan; Peter Robinson McStravick Jr. and wife, Lisa McStravick; Cathey McStravick Morrison and husband, Allen Morrison; Paul R. McStravick and wife, Peggy McStravick; and John Edward McStravick and wife, Jennifer McStravick were never far from his prayers or thoughts as he gave council and love in equal measure, letting integrity, honor, and duty guide his energies and action. His commitment and love for his nineteen grandchildren, and one great-grand child can be observed by the concern for their future and the generous donations of the Texas Tomorrow Funds for their higher education. Peter was raised in Houston, Texas in the West University area to Arnold W. and Mildred Bisbee McStravick. He is survived by his siblings: Rosemary McStravick Ryan; Patty McStravick Hoyt and her husband, Donald Hoyt; Phyllis McStravick Panfely and her husband, George Panfely; Sharon McStravick Schultz and her husband, Charles Schultz; David M. McStravick and his wife, Kathy McStravick. Also, he is survived by his sister-in-law Lise McStravick of North Carolin This tall Texan, after taking his university degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and designing the coil tubing unit for oil field-services, journeyed with his family to Australia where they grew together as a family under his gentle hand. A gentleman in every aspect of the word; he took his word and handshake seriously and let this guide his dealing with others whether working in real estate in the Tomball area, or singing in the church choir with a beautiful Irish tenor voice. The Angelic Choir will be well pleased with their new addition. A quote from Micah 6 well illustrates how a man should carry himself, and how Peter conducted himself in his life here on earth: " do right, love goodness, and walk humbly with your God." V
