  Marin Independent Journal January 10, 2012 John Bowden Boothby April 17, 1919 Dec. 20, 2011 John Bowden Boothby was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lydia White Boothby and Marsh Bowden Boothby. He graduated from Georgetown University and served in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He resided in the Sleepy Hollow area of Marin County, California, for many years raising his family and commuting to San Francisco where he worked in the international import business. He later resided in San Francisco as a base for global travel, family activities, visits with friends, and evening martinis. He is survived by a son and daughter, both of California, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his many close friends and family.
