  The Sacramento Bee (CA) January 26, 2016 Michael Allen Haskell was born on January 29, 1959, in Butte, Nebraska, he was the fourth of twelve children born to Evelyn and Clifford Haskell. His family moved to Montana, South Dakota, and the Philippines before settling in Citrus Heights, California. Mike attended Casa Roble high school where he was a scholar and competed at the varsity level as quarterback for the football team, guard for the basketball team and pitcher/outfield for the baseball team. Excelling in baseball, Mike played baseball at Chico State, where he got a degree in Geography. Mike was a loving brother and a kind friend, he was always willing to help someone in need. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and is mourned by his siblings, Debra, Donald, Jean Russell, Steve, Cathy, Theresa Bradley, Joe, Lisa, Patrick, Lori Coble, and Jim. Family and friends will miss him dearly. Mike had a big heart, things that we will miss about Mike: he knew the zip code for every street and city in California, He would always help you with a move, drop everything for a game of catch or a round of golf. Mike kept a living memory of his Mother, he grew her aloe, and he had a green thumb with tomatoes. He loved garage sales.
