  The Independent Herald (Oneida, Tennessee) October 21, 1999 Edwin L. Brady, 69, of Oneida, died October 14, 1999, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. Born in Custer, South Dakota, January 22, 1930, he was the son of the late George F. and Mable Celena McNutt Brady. In addition to his parents, he was preceded also in death by two brothers, William and Richard Brady. He was a member of the Naval Reserve for two years before joining the Army in 1948 and served a tour of duty in both the Korean War and Vietnam before retiring in 1980, having achieved the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Third Grade. He was also a lifetime member and Past Commander of VFW Post 3442 in Custer, S.D., and was a member and former Post Commander of American Legion Post #136, a member of Senior Citizens, and a member of the Crazy Horse Amateur Radio Club in Custer, S.D. He was baptized in 1960 at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Christian Church and was in the process of joining First Baptist Church in Robbins. He is survived by his wife, Mary M. “Harvey” Brady of Oneida; two sons, Gary Morgan and wife, Pat of West Chicago, Ill., and Wayne Brady and wife, Lori of Oneida; three daughters, Teressa Braden and husband, Jerry, Beverly Morgan and husband Carl, and Tammie Smith, all of Oneida; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives.
