Ruth A. Quinn, 87, resident of 40 Crosby St., Milford, died Sunday, March 14, 1999, at Harborside Healthcare Center-Crestwood in Milford.
She was employed as a secretary for Draper Fuel Company in Wilton and Kenmore Stamp Co. in Milford for several years. In addition, Mrs. Quinn and her late husband owned and operated several area businesses.
Mrs. Quinn was a member of AARP Milford Chapter.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Milford.
Mrs. Quinn was a graduate of Central High School in Manchester and graduated from Hesser Business College in Manchester.
Mrs. Quinn was born in Windham on Jan. 1, 1912, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Kearns) Walsh. She spent many years in the Milford and Wilton area and had formerly resided in Manchester for 30 years.
Mrs. Quinn was the widow of James P. Quinn Sr., who died in 1972, and was also predeceased by a sister, Mary W. Harrington, and a brother, Andrew Walsh.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, James P. and Betty Quinn Jr. of Milford and Thomas H. Quinn of Hooksett a daughter and son-in-law, Anne K. and Normand Bergeron of Milford four grandchildren five great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
