  Find-a-Grave Florence H. (Bumpus) Bassett "Cookie," age 93, of Rochester, died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Toby Hospital in Wareham. She was the wife of the late Arthur Bassett. Born in Rochester, a daughter of the late George W. and Lillie M. (Sherman) Bumpus, she was a lifelong resident of Rochester. Mrs. Bassett was a 1935 graduate of Wareham High School and was employed as a clerk for both Atlantic Mills and Arland's in New Bedford until her retirement. She was an avid bowler belonging to the Seniors of Mattapoisett and Rochester Leagues. Survivors include two sons, George Bassett and his wife, Janice of Marion and Arthur Bassett and his companion, Joan Nelson of W. Wareham; ten grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandsons. She was also mother of the late Bob Bassett.
