Dorothy Louise (Alcorn) Haskell, 90, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Columbus Care and Rehabilitation Center in Columbus.
Dorothy was born Nov. 30, 1927, in Seattle to Henry and Esther (Schauers) Alcorn. She graduated from West Seattle High School in 1946. Dorothy always loved to work. After graduation, she began working at Marshall Fields in Seattle, but soon took a position at the Seattle Federal Reserve Bank.
She met Roger Haskell and they were married Nov. 1, 1955. While Roger was a Federal Bank examiner, they traveled across the United States for several years and Dorothy often worked as a temporary employee with Kelly Girls. After settling in Los Angles, she worked for Wells Fargo, and later as a building manager for Great Western Savings and Loan. Even during retirement in Las Vegas, she continued to work in a tax preparation office.
In 2014, Dorothy moved to Columbus to be near her sister-in-law, Joyce Haskell, who survives her. Dorothy is also survived by a cousin Doris Aden of Emumclaw, Wash.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Those close to her will remember Dorothy as a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor and a positive attitude.
