ORWELL, VT - Jannette Ivy (Hill) Moesch of Orwell, VT, died Sunday in Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington. Jan was born September 7, 1944 in Indian Orchard, MA to the late William R. and Ivy P. Hill.
She retired in 1995 from Cigna Corporation as Assistant Vice President of Training/Compensation in the Systems Division. She later began Compensation Solutions in Medford, NJ and Orwell, VT and then joined General Dynamics of Burlington, VT. Prior to joining Cigna, Jan was employed by Mass Mutual Financial Group, Springfield, MA, in their Human Resources division. She was also a member of the James W. Hannum Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star of Ludlow, MA.
After retiring, Jan and her husband Richard moved to Orwell, CT. She always gave better than she got, taking joy from nature. She ate and drank all life had to offer and shared her love and laughter with anyone willing to smile and see all that is good in this world. Remember the rocks, the talks, pie in bed, boxed wine, the fireplace, the morning cuddles and the tipsy dances.
In addition to her husband, Jan is survived by sons, Michael J. Haskell and wife Rhoda of Mountain View, CA and Derek J. Haskell and Fifi of Harlem, NY; step-daughters Janet K. Griscom and husband David of Alloway, NJ and Susan M. Potts and husband John of Malvern, PA; sisters Mary Ann Hastings, Audrey P. Hibbard and Holly I. Koss of Ludlow, MA. Beloved Nana to Eric, Carley and Blake Griscom of Alloway, NJ and loving Godmother to Hunter C. Schinabeck of Ludlow, MA and Ryder J. Hastings of Wilbraham, MA. Jan also leaves several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
