  Luca Eaton Funeral Home Kittery, Maine- Herbert L. Andrews, 92, of 220 State Road, formerly of North Waterford, ME, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in York Hospital. He was born Oct. 24, 1919 in North Waterford, Maine a son of the late Luther N. and Edith M. (Palmer) Andrews. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He had worked for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for many years before retiring. He was an avid gardener, coin collector and woodworker. He spent 20 years wintering in Lakeland, FL along with his wife. His wife Leona (Tracy) Andrews, his son Ronald K. Andrews, granddaughter Naomi S. Andrews, five brothers Charles, Arthur, Oscar, William and George Andrews and two sisters Jennie Rice and Carrie Andrews all predeceased him. He leaves two grandsons Malcolm D. Andrews and his wife Carole and Christopher L. Andrews all of York, ME; a daughter-in-law Eleanor L. Andrews of Wells, ME; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
