Diana Haskell (Collins), 79, of Cedar Rapids, IA and formerly of Beloit, WI, died Monday, February 6, 2017 at Meth-Wick Community in the Woodlands, Cedar Rapids, IA.
She was born January 18, 1938 in Sioux City, IA, the daughter of Ralph and Barbara (Knowles) Bloyer. Diana was a 1956 graduate of South Beloit High School, South Beloit, IL. She married Everett Haskell on September 19, 1959 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on December 7, 1995. Following Everett's death, she split her time between Beloit and Congress, AZ and was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Yarnell, AZ. She later married Don Collins in 2005, and they resided in Arizona until his death in 2007. Diana then moved to Mt. Vernon, IA to be close to her daughter, Amy, for ongoing care and treatment with Alzheimer's.
While in Beloit, WI, and after graduating from Cosmetology School, Diana became the owner and operator of Pleasant Beauty Salon for over 15 years. She was an avid volunteer for the greater Beloit area. She was a former Girl Scout leader, member of the Junior Women's Club, YWCA, The League of Women's Voters, and the Beloit Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Diana enjoyed crafts, decorating, traveling, and attending ball games of her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Amy (Brad) Russell of Mt. Vernon, IA and Ephraim, WI, and Jennifer (Bryan) Sipple of Waunakee, WI; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Don Bloyer.
