Lila Detraz Tumilty, 72, of Greenfield, passed away surrounded by her family Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 after a long battle with cance She was born Sept. 18, 1939, the daughter of Shirley and Beatrice Detra Lila graduated from Mays High School in 1957 and from Indiana College of Beauty Culture in 1958. She married her high school sweetheart, Harry Tumilty Jr., March 14, 1958. Lila was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jordan Bonne. She is survived by her husband; her two daughters, Rhonda (Erik) Spykman of Lafayette and Shirley (Matthew) Bonne of Cincinnati, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Erika and John Spykman and Aaron, Brooke, Trey and Drew Bonne. Lila was a member of Center Christian Church of Mays, the Christian WomenÕs Club and the PEO Sisterhood. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, watching basketball and attending her grandchildren's school and sporting events and musical performances. Lila was a devoted follower of Christ and a strong and loving encourager of her husband, children and grandchildren.
