Shirley Guido, 83, currently residing in Woodstock, GA, passed away November 29, 2005 in GA. She was born in Frankfort, NY, a daughter of the late Peter and Shirley Jones Guido and received her education in Frankfort and Utica schools.
In 1941 in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Utica, she was married to Francis (Frank) Guido. He passed away in 1989.
Shirley was partners with her husband in Mohawk Trail Bus Service and was one of only two women bus drivers in the Frankfort-Schuyler school system, where she drove school bus from 1955 until 1971. She was a member of the Frankfort Hill Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Herkimer Co. Republican Club.
Shirley is survived by her son, Dean Guido of Frankfort; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Peter and Bernie Weiss of Richfield Springs, and Richard and Anne Weiss of Burlington Flats; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Murial Guido, in 1998; and her sister, Jessie Neale.
