Jack E. Howe, 80, of Chaffee, a retired surveyor for Edwards & Moncieff in Springville, died Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2000) in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville, after a brief illness.
The Chaffee native had a dairy farm and sold farm equipment for John Deere and tools for Falcon Tools before becoming a surveyor.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, the former Lucille Raymond; two daughters, Carla Pleace of Chaffee and Karen Ellis of Attica; two sons, Dick of Chaffee and J.D. of Falconer; a sister, Phyllis Drennen of Warsaw; two half brothers, F.G. of Macon, Ga., and Robert of Washington, D.C.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
