Laura M. Hatfield, 77, of Brighton, passed away Oct. 25, in Brighton. Born Jan. 31, 1938, to Frank and Myrtle (Oxford) Cash, she graduated from Sturgis High School, in South Dakota, and married George Hatfield May 14, 1955.
Laura lived in Brighton since 1966, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She worked as a dietician for Beverly Manor, now known as Avamere Assisted Living, for 15 years. She spent the majority of her working career raising five boys. The legacy she leaves behind is her time, effort and talent in raising her children.
Laura is survived by her husband, of Brighton; sons, Randy (Cindy) Hatfield of Tyler, Texas, Rory (Wanda) Hatfield, of Lakewood, and Rodney (Elise) Hatfield, of Brighton; three sisters, Sally Allen, of South Dakota, Leona Crawford, of Nebraska, and Judy Doyen, of Delaware; twin brother, Lloyd Cash, of Missouri; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Ricky, Rusty and Roger Hatfield.
