  Wareham Week April 9. 2010 Mary L. (Bowler) Holmes, 79, of Onset, died April 8, 2010, in Tobey Hospital. She was the wife of Bradford M. Holmes and the daughter of the late Edward and Loretta (Doherty) Bowler. She was born in Waltham and lived in Onset for many years. She graduated from Waltham High school and Mt. Auburn Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Holmes worked as a school nurse for the Wareham Intermediate School for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Wareham Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and going to the casino. Survivors include her widower; two sons, Bradford E. Holmes, of Onset, and Richard Holmes, of East Freetown; four daughters, Kathleen McKenna-Raymond, of Middleboro, Pamela Bond, of East Swanzey, NH, Linda Crump, of Alstead, NH, and Sally Anderson, of Norman, OK; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Burns, of Falmouth, and Jean Pinzone, of Westboro; and 12 grandchildren.
