Joan P. Boyden, 60, of 1906 Mason Reed Drive, a former employee of the New England Telephone Co., died Nov. 4 at home. She was the wife of Deane G. Boyden, former newscaster at WJAR-TV, Providence.
Born in Waterville, Maine, a daughter of the late Joseph and Aurore Plourde, she lived in Stockton Springs, Maine, before moving to Barrington where she lived for 19 years. She moved to Springfield, Va., in 1976, and to Wilmington in 1990.
Mrs. Boyden had worked for the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co., Springfield.
Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Deanne E. McCredie of Lewes, Del., and Nancy E. Kachmarik of Concord, N.C.; her stepmother, Maxine Plourde of Stockton Springs; two half brothers, Arthur Plourde Bucksport, Maine, Charles Plourde of Searsport, Maine, and three granddaughters.
