  The Columbian (Vancouver, WA) December 14, 2017 Paul Kent Wiser, 93, of Washougal, WA, passed away on December 10, 2017. He was born on October 9, 1924 in Logan, UT to Clarence and Eurilla Wiser. Paul graduated from North Cache High School and attended Utah State University. He served in World War II in the Merchant Marines from 1944-46. Upon completing his service, Paul married Lois Clawson on June 28, 1946 in the Logan LDS Temple. After being married a year, Paul served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in California from 1947-49. After his mission, he continued to farm with his father in Lewiston, UT. Paul and Lois moved to Silverton, OR in 1957 where he owned a dairy farm. In 1963, they sold their farm and moved to Beaverton, OR where he sold insurance and later was a warehouse manager. They moved to Vancouver, WA in 1976. In his later years, Paul and Lois worked with and loved the Asian people. They both worked in the Portland LDS Temple for many years. Paul enjoyed camping, doing crossword puzzles, watching BYU sports, and watching western television shows. Paul is survived by his five children: Kent (Sue) Wiser of Orem, UT, Marianne (Vaughn) Judi of Mapleton, UT, Gayla (Ivan) Rayworth of Battle Ground, WA, Pauline (Don) Dodge of Washougal, WA and Neil (Amy) Wiser of Springville, UT; 23 grandchildren; and 67 great-grandchildren with two more coming.
