Robert "Bob" "Bobby" H. Haskell, 75, of Deep Gap, N.C., husband of Patricia Melfi Haskell, passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 in Summerville, SC.
Interment will be at Summerville Cemetery, 700 Boone Hill Road, Summerville.
Mr. Haskell was born March 4, 1942 in North Wilkesboro, NC, son of the late Joseph Frank Haskell and Grace Wellborn Haskell. He graduated from Summerville High School in 1960 and attended Clemson University. Mr. Haskell retired after thirty five years from Albany International as an Engineer. Bob & Pat were high school sweethearts and married for 55 years. They enjoyed their retirement in Deep Gap, NC, keeping busy with a variety of hobbies and traveling around the country visiting their grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Patricia; two sons and two daughters, Robert H. Haskell, Jr. (Tina) of Austin, TX, Richard F. Haskell (Susan) of Atlanta, GA, Elizabeth F. Schiebel (Bill) of Denver, CO, and Catherine H. Poirier (Doug) of Denver, CO; thirteen grandchildren, Veronica, Emily, Henry, Lewis, George, Paul, Robby, David, Daniel, Joel, Nathan, Luke and Liam; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and five sisters, Loretta Haskell, Pat Martin, Martha Henderson, Lib Seabrook (Bill) and Rebecca Henderson (Mike Booe).
He was predeceased by one grandson, Zachary Haskell; and two brothers, Joseph F. Haskell, Jr. and Jerry Haskell.
