Dean A. Millett, 38, of Buckfield died Thursday at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston.
He was born in Lewiston, a son of Gordon and Mary Bean Millett, and graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1976.
He moved here more than 17 years ago.
On Aug. 6, 1977, he married the former Loretta Keene.
Mr. Millette was a line filler for Poland Spring Bottling Corp. He was an assistant Cub Scout master, a member of the Oxford Hills Men's Softball League and Oxford Hills Bowling League. He also coached junior high school basketball and summer recreation baseball. He was widely known for performing in the Buckfield minstrel shows. He also participated in the Firemen's Muster for the Norway Fire Department operating the Oxford Bear.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Corey and Craig, and a daughter, Dawn, all of Buckfield; three brothers, Leslie, David and Duane, all of Norway; three sisters, Cheryl Witham of Norway, Minola Boutilier of Oxford and Debbie Carpenter of Brownfield; and his mother of Norway.
