  Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchinson Funeral Home ROCKLAND - Grace A. Nash, 82, died peacefully, Friday, June 15, 2007 at Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport. Born March 3, 1925 on Vinalhaven, she was the daughter of George, Sr. and Annie Flanders Tripp. As a young child Grace moved with her family to Rockland. In her early years Grace worked at a local laundrymat. For most of her life she was a homemaker, raising her three children and later taking care of her large extended family. Her family said she was always babysitting one or more of her grandchildren as well as other children in the neighborhood. She truly loved children. Having fought several battles with cancer, Grace's family remembers her as a very strong person. They said she was a people person who liked everyone and was kind to everyone she met. In turn, everyone she met liked her. Predeceased by two sisters, Marie Conary and Dorothy Allen, and a granddaughter Stacy Nash, Grace is survived by her sons, Charles R. Nash, Jr. of Camden, Robert Nash and his wife Jeannette of Rockport; her daughter Ann Amborn and her husband Charles of Rockland; one brother George O. Tripp, Jr. of Rockland; six grandchildren, Brenda Dodge and her husband Frank of Rockport, Robert Nash, Jr. and his wife Terra of Warren, Tracy Finley and her husband Charles, Jr. of Jefferson, Lori Nash and her companion Aaron Philbrook of Warren, Jennifer Leavitt and her husband Darryl of Camden, Earl Nash of Rockland; 8 great-grandchildren, Jefferey Dodge and his wife Jessie of Lincolnville, Mark Dodge of Rockport, Jonathan Dodge of Rockport, Jasmine Young, Tyler Finley, Baleigh Finley all of Jefferson, Joshua Neubig, Kobe Philbrook of Warren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Nash of Warren, Skyler Dodge, Kyle Dodge both of Rockport, and Frankie Dodge of Lincolnville.
