  Greensburg Daily News (Indiana) August 12, 1986 Vernon E. (Smitty) Smith, 75, died 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 1986, at his home at 1014 North Carver St., Greensburg. He was a retired carpenter. Smith was born Sept. 28, 1910 in Milan, the son of Frank M. and Nattie Jamison Smith. He married Frances E. Phillips Dec. 9, 1944. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Donna) Imel, Greensburg; and a foster daughter, Mrs. Joel (Brenda) Kriley, Spring Hill, Fla.; three grandchildren and two foster grandchildren.
