Connie Parasson, 74, of Orange, California, lost her long battle with cancer at her home on June 28, 2015 with her children by her side.
Connie was born on November 15, 1940 and was raised in Pennsylvania. She attended Cory High School where she earned her diploma in 1958. She worked as a secretary at a local business when she met Lefter G. Parasson and fell in love. Lefty and Connie began married life in Akron, Ohio. She was the ultimate homemaker as she loved to entertain and was soon known for her elaborate gatherings.
Connie had 3 children - Dan, Penny and Patrick. Lefty's business soon took them to Pittsburgh and then to California. Her parents, James and Georgia Higgins, sister Holly and brother Jim and his wife Beverly and daughter Colleen were together again. She often volunteered in the Oncology Department of the local hospital. Connie made many friends in her neighborhood. This is where her love for cross-stitching began. After many shopping sprees at the local stitch shop, Connie was able to put her knowledge and talents to use. She worked at one of her favorite cross-stitch shops and loved every minute of it! In the early 1990's, Lefty and Connie settled in Orange, California where their backyard overlooked beautiful green hills. Connie was a long-time member of the Los Angeles Rubber Group, "TLARGI" where she met some of her dearest friends. "The More Luck Club" was soon formed and they began making many wonderful memories. Connie loved her family, having fun with friends, playing ball with Dexter, and most of all a quiet evening with her husband watching the sunset from their patio drinking a glass of wine. She touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Connie being the "cheerleader" of the family, was always there to support everyone.
She is survived by son Danny; daughter Penny; 5 grandchildren - Alexis, Nicholas, Zachary, Breann and Cameron; great-grandchildren - Bailey, Addison and Rory. She is also survived by her sister Holly and niece Colleen and her loyal dog Dexter.
