  Rutland Herald (VT) July 23, 2004 Martha T. Wood, 58, of Rutland, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, July 21, 2004, at her home. She was born in Rutland, September 29, 1945, the daughter of Wendell and Elizabeth (Clarke) Tilden Sr. She was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy and a 1980 graduate of Rutland Business College. She was married November 10, 1961, in Rutland to William A. Wood of Rutland. Mrs. Wood was employed as an office administrator at Cinema North for many years. She was a former employee of Proctor Bank. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving is her husband, William Wood of Rutland; three daughters, Laurie Brown and her husband Kevin of Shrewsbury, Marci Matson and her husband Scott of Mendon, Kasey Franzoni and her husband Peter of Rutland; her mother-in-law, Rose Wood of Rutland; two brothers, Joseph Tilden and Wendell Tilden Jr. of Rutland; one sister, Mary Coleman of Rutland; three grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher and Nicholas Brown of Shrewsbury; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Kristie Lyn Brown.
