Beulah B. Hanscom, 80, formerly of York ME, died Feb. 11, 2001, at Harbor Home in York Harbor ME after a long illness.
She was born on June 25, 1920, in York, the daughter of George L., Sr., and Alice O. (McIntire) Chapman, and was a 1938 graduate of York High School. She had worked as a bookkeeper at Parson's Lumber and for Connie Small in York for many years. She had also been a bookkeeper at York Hospital. She was a member of the Ogunquit Baptist Church and the Wells Grange. She had served as the organist at the Ogunquit Baptist Church and the Court Street Church in Portsmouth NH. She had also been a private music teacher in the York area for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband Leonard P. Hanscom, who died in 1996, and by her brother Harvey Chapman, who died in 1992.
Survivors include her brother George L. Chapman Jr., of York; one niece; and two nephews.
