  Portland Press Herald (ME) November 3, 1999 Helen Maddox, 78, died Saturday at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Lakeland. She was born in South Berwick, Maine, and moved to the Tampa area in 1985 from St. Clair Shores, Mich. She was a private secretary for Dayton-Hudson department stores. Mrs. Maddox was a member of Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church at St. Clair Shores. She also attended the First Federated Church in South Berwick, Maine. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Maddox Sr. of Plant City; two sons, Joseph Jr. of Longwood and Robert S. Maddox of Charlotte, N.C.; one daughter, Penelope Watts of Endicott, N.Y.; one sister, Viola Hildreth of Barefoot Bay, and five grandchildren.
