  The Salt Lake Tribune (UT) July 3, 1996 Marcia Lund Evans, 59, passed away July 1, 1996 at her home in Murray, after a courageous three and a half year battle with pancreatic cancer. Marcia was born August 25, 1937 in Shelton, Washington to Myron and Virginia Young Lund and married Phillip K. Evans on September 4, 1959 in the Salt Lake Temple. Marcia attended schools in Shelton, Washington; Anchorage and Kodiak, Alaska. She majored in music while attending Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in nursing from the University of Utah. After her marriage to Phillip she lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Brigham City and Murray, Utah. Marcia was a registered nurse and worked at the Utah State Department of Health in the Cancer Control Department. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who loved and obeyed her Heavenly Father. Marcia was a tremendous skier, sailor and friend. We are grateful for her time on this earth with us. Marcia was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Lund. She is survived by her husband, Phillip; her father, Myron Lund of Holladay; her brother, Wallace (Lorraine) Lund of Ogden; two daughters, Karin (Kevin) Madsen of Phoenix, Ariz.; Cynthia (Douglas) Greenland of West Jordan; and two sons, LT David (Robin) Evans of Groton, Conn.; Michael (Melanee) Evans of Salt Lake City; and six grandchildren.
