Gloria G. Kempton
March 24, 1927 to Feb. 16, 2011
RUPERT - Gloria G. Kempton, age 83, of Rupert, Idaho, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Valley Vista Care Center in Rupert, Idaho.
Gloria was born in Shoshone, Idaho, to Edward and Grace M. (Gabler) Haak. She grew up and attended school at the Albion Normal School. While attending school in Albion, she met and married Myron Kempton. To this union was born one child, a son named Grant who passed away at an early age. Gloria then took to traveling with her salesman husband and traveled with him for years. When the time came, she took on the responsibility of caring for and living with her mother in Shoshone. In addition to her responsibilities, Gloria enjoyed teaching piano, playing the accordion for the residents of Valley Vista Care in Rupert. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Gloria is survived by her brother, Cliff Haak of Filer, Idaho; and her special friend, Rodney Wodskow, who cared for her and brightened her days (they were natural companions); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Myron Kempton; and her son, Grant Kempton.
