  Daily Herald (Provo, UT) August 23, 2003 Elena Palmer, 25, of Springville passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at LDS Hospital of heart failure. She was born July 16, 1978 in Kalispell, MT to Michael and Rebecca Monson Palmer. Elena grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High in 1996 and attended UVSC. She worked as an Administrative Asst. to the City Manager both in Mesquite, Nevada and Springville, Utah where she was currently employed. Elena distinguished herself by both her work ethic and professionalism. She was an enthusiastic and unselfish leader among her peers and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her mother Rebecca of Pleasant Grove; sisters: Michele (Jeremy) Sudweeks, Virginia; Juliene Palmer, Pleasant Grove; grandparents: Jesse and June Monson, Pleasant Grove; two nieces: Brooke and Erin and nephew, Isaac. Her father, Michael and grandparents, Dwight and Colleen Palmer, preceded her in death.
