John (Jack) Richards 86, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly Port Huron, Michigan, passed away Saturday April 6, 2013 in Cape Coral Hope Hospice after a short illness because of infectious diseases.
John (Jack) was born in Port Huron, Michigan to Edward and Dorothy Richards on March 2, 1928. He attended Marysville High School and graduated in 1946. He worked for Mueller Brass as a Tool and Die person and a supervisor until retirement.
He married Alice June Little, Oct. 9, 1948.
He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout and a leader. He en joyed hunting, fishing, sailing, garage sales and activities with his brothers.
He is survived by his wife Alice; two daughters, Leta (Jon) Nielsen, Granger, In.; Beth (Tom) Kreutziger, Woodstock, IL; his brothers, Donald (Rita), New Baltimore, MI; Paul, Charlevoix, MI ; a sister Jill (Gerry) Lakin, Bellevue, WA; eight grandchildren; Lisa Derach; Jeff Richards; Lorie Richards; Victoria (Ryan) Wolf; Ryan (Nicole) Kruetziger; Erika (Paul Kuttner) Kreutziger and Stephen Richards. John has two great grandsons, Connor Dercach and Erickson Kuttner. He has many cousins, nieces and nephews.
John (Jack) is predeceased in death by his parents, his son Phillip Richards of Grants Pass, Oregon (March 16, 2013); and one brother Charles Richards, Marysville, MI.
