Charles Arthur Richards, 76, passed away in his Ft. Myers, Florida winter home December 11, 2009, surrounded by his family. He was born January 20, 1933 in Port Huron to the late Edward and Dorothy Richards.
He graduated from Marysville High School in 1950, attended the Port Huron Junior college. He served the The United States Army in Korea. He received his BS degree in Education from Wayne State University. Charles was a Science teacher, track coach, and later assistant prinicipal at Port Huron High School until his retirement.
He is survived by his beloved companion Susan Smith of Fort Gratiot. His son and daughter-in-law Craig and Cindy Richards, Fort Gratiot. His daughter Cathy Richards, Port Huron. His grandaughter, Lyndsay A. Richards, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, his Christopher (Mikey to his PaPa) Richards. The mother of his children, Phyllis Richards, Marysville. Brothers Jack (Alice) Richards, Ft. Meyers, Don (Rita) Richards, New Baltimore and Ft Myers, Paul (Ann) Richards, Charlevoix, MI and sister Jill (Jerry ) Lakin of Seattle; several nieces and nephews.
