  The Peoria Journal Star (IL) May 22, 2003 KEWANEE - Clifford ''Beano'' Petty, 74, of Rock Falls, formerly of Kewanee, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Community General Hospital in Sterling. Born Nov. 2, 1928, in Kewanee to Forrest H. and Beulah M. Pierce Petty, he married Alice J. Carter on July 27, 1949, in Kewanee. She preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one sister. Surviving are one son, Robert (and Zena) of Dixon; four daughters, Janet (and David) Jones and Carolyn (and Steve) Jones, both of Dixon, Bobbie Jo Petty of Sterling and Robin Smith Petty of Cambridge; 13 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Jenny (and Ron) Nadeau of Las Vegas. He worked at Johnson State Park in rural Kewanee before retiring.
