  Maine Sunday Telegram (Portland, ME) September 8, 1996 Robert B. Cousins, 62, of Portland died Thursday at his residence. He was born here, a son of Robert E. and Ethel M. Berry Cousins, and graduated from Deering High School. From 1955 to 1957, Mr. Cousins served in the Army with a military police unit, and retired from the Army Reserve. For 22 years he was a police officer with the Portland Police Department, retiring in 1979. He was a 32nd-degree member of Cornerstone Masonic Lodge, a member of the Elks, the Harold T. Andrews Post of the American Legion, the Amvets and the VFW. Surviving are two brothers, Richard of South Portland and Ronald E. of Wichita, Kan.; and several nieces and nephews.
