  Seacoastonline.com October 17, 2017 PORTSMOUTH - Ellen L. Haley, 91, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Ellen lived her childhood on her family's farm in Yarmouth Maine with her parents, two sisters and a brother. She attended North Yarmouth Academy and went onto what was then Gorham State Teachers College. Her first teaching job took her from Yarmouth to Eliot Maine. She was married in September 1948 to Frederick Haley who was in the Air Force. They were first stationed in Texas before being stationed in Guam. It was in 1958 when they moved to Portsmouth with their two children and she remained there throughout most of her life. She leaves a son, John Haley of Cockeysville, Maryland; a daughter, Jane Dooda of Southport, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Jennifer Wakefield, Jonathan Dooda, and Michael Dooda. She was a great-grandmother to Hayden Wakefield and Delayne Dooda.
