  The Washington Post September 17, 2000 Maxine Z. Haskell, 85, a kindergarten teacher at Landover Hills Elementary School from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s, died Sept. 15 at the Montgomery Hospice in Rockville after cancer surgery. Mrs. Haskell, who graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College, was a Tennessee native. She came to the Washington area in the late 1930s and lived in Lanham before moving to Piney Point, Md., about 1970. For the last decade, she had lived in Leisure World in Silver Spring. Her husband, Trueman L. Haskell, died in 1985. Survivors include two sons, Trueman Jr., of Lanham, and William Z., of Dunkirk, Md.; a daughter, Sharon Bauer of Germantown; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
