Orlin Walter Raatz, 79, of Menasha, died on Thursday afternoon, April 18, 2013 with his family beside him at his home, under the care of Theda-Care Hospice.
He was born on March 28, 1934 in the Town of Richford, Waushara County, the son of Fred W. and Lena (Schwersenka) Raatz.
He married Shirley (Pisciotta) on October 3, 1971 in Menasha.
In his younger years, Orlin worked for Joe Robel of Oshkosh, working on Harley Davidson Bikes. He later became a machinist at the Neenah Foundry and retired in 1996.
He loved hunting, riding his motorcycle and was a member of and rode with the Aces Motorcycle Club of Oshkosh. He loved his Daschund dogs and also feeding his squirrels.
Orlin was a loving husband and father and a good friend.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley, daughters, Lena Raatz, Kitty Vanboorhis, Mary (Steve) Huettl, Kathy (Floyd) Schlosser, Linda (Roy) Downham and Darlene St Clair., sons, Mark (Peggy) Raatz, Jeff (Linda) St Clair, Joe St Clair and Jim St Clair, sister, Adeline Kluth, also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Orlin was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Russell and John, brother, Fritz, sister, Twila, and Eunice Raatz.
