  The South Bend Tribune February 10, 1973. Mrs. Burdell M. Buck, 64, of 1602 E. Fox Street, died at 1:44 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph Hospital, where she was taken by the South Bend Fire department ambulance from her home. She had been ill for two weeks. She was born in Clinton, Indiana, on Dec. 31, 1908, and came to South Bend 47 years ago from Clinton. As Burdell M. McKee she married Cecil H. Buck on June 5, 1927, in South Bend. He survives with a son, Cecil Buck Jr. of Union, Michigan; two daughters, Mrs. Philip Schiff and Mrs. Chester A. Kil, both of South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Mae Cormican of Detroit; 12 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Mrs. Buck was known for her cooking, baking, and playing both the piano and the harmonica.
