  South Bend Tribune May 13, 1971 Russell Byron (Red) Buck, 52, of 1722 East Calvert Street, died at 1:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Hospital shortly after he was admitted and following a sudden illness. He was born in South Bend on Nov. 30, 1918, and had lived here all his life. On Aug. 20, 1949, he married Kathleen Herrick, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Charles, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Linda (James) Speelman of Mishawaka; two brothers, Cecil and Gordon Buck of South Bend; and three sisters, Edna Anderson, Lucille Roberts, and Vivian Clara Brockus.
