  Caleb Haskell lived in Hampton Falls, N.H. 1791-95. where he was a "doctor" and licensed to sell liquor in 1794; came to Columbia Falls 1795-1812, where he was the first regular physician, served as a town official 1800-1810, and set up the first wool-carding machine.
