She was born January 27, 1912, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and has been a resident of Upland for 65 years. Cora attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, from 1931-1933. She was a homemaker and mother, enjoyed world travel, taught needlepoint, and was active with the Crafty Needler's and Embroiders Guild. She was a member of the Claremont Church of Religious Science for over 30 years. Surviving is her daughter, Lois Nelson of Upland; three sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Eileen Nelson of Dallas, Texas, Doug and Paula Marr of Rancho Cucamonga, and Tom and Carmen Nelson of San Bernardino; seven grandchildren, Robert Shaw Jr., Dennis Shaw, Troy Nelson, Bryan Nelson, Scott Marr, Robin Marr, Keely Nelson; two great grandchildren, AJ Shaw, Tejan Nelson; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert V. Nelson.
