NORRIDGEWOCK - Leonel P Turcotte, 84, of Norridgewock, passed away peacefully Monday Dec. 19, 2016, in Skowhegan, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 22, 1932, in Skowhegan, the son of Frank and Marie (Provost) Turcotte.
Leonel was educated in Norridgewock schools and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He married June E. Parker on July 2, 1955, in Skowhegan.
He worked for Norwock Shoe Company for many years as an inventory clerk and then worked for Dexter Shoe Company until his retirement. He loved fishing and hunting and he especially loved listening to Johnny Cash music.
Besides his wife June of 61 years of Skowhegan, he leaves his daughter Susan Brann and her husband Douglas of Madison; two grandchildren, Tiffany Bussell and Michelle Brann; four great-grandchildren, Jaydan Bussell, Jacoby Bussell, Mark DeGraff Jr., and Maxwell DeGraff; one sister Catherine Holmes of Skowhegan; and close sister-in-law Mary Folsom of Pittsfield and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Edmond and George Turcotte, and a brother in-law Elvin Holmes.
