Alice Joan "Joni" Myers, 73, of Potosi, Wisconsin, died at 10:00 p.m. on April 26, 2016, at Southwest Health Center at Platteville, Wisconsin, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. She was born on June 26, 1942, in Alton and was the daughter of the late Earl Raymond and Berneice Wadsworth of Bunker Hill.
Joni graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1960 and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She graduated from cosmetology school in Edwardsville in 1968. She was a former owner/operator of a beauty shop. She liked to travel and enjoyed spending winters in Henderson, Nevada. Joni was an artist with a flaire for interior decorating. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Joni is survived by her husband, Carl Myers of Potosi, Wisconsin, whom she married on August 7, 1999, in Hillsboro. She is also survived by her son, Craig (Tracey) Garella of Edwardsville; daughter, Courtney (Justin) Kern of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Dominique (Jeff) Ridenbark of Staunton, Jake Garella, Jordan Garella and Jenna Garella of Edwardsville, and Chase Creviston of New Berlin; great grandson, Gavin Ridenbark of Staunton; one brother and sister-in-law, Merle and Doris Wadsworth of Bunker Hill; one nephew, Brent (Traci) Wadsworth of Bunker Hill; one niece, Richelle (Scott) Horace of New Melle, Missouri; two great nieces, Alison and Ashley Wadsworth of Bunker Hill; two great nephews, Tyler and Justin Horace of New Melle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Grace Wadsworth and O.T. and Alice Brummer, all of Bunker Hill; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
